Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work A collection of three linocuts, 1919, comprising: 'Labourers'; 'Washbasin'; and 'Makeup', each signed in pencil, from the editions of 75, with the exception of 'Washbasin' which is from an edition of 60, published by London Graphic, 1967 by Horace Brodzky for GBP 120.00 (€ 178.07). This price was achieved in the auction Prints at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction hous Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Horace Brodzky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tidings in May 2005 with an auction result of AUD 10,157.50 (€ 6,243.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A collection of three linocuts, 1919, comprising: 'Labourers'; 'Washbasin'; and 'Makeup', each signed in pencil, from the editions of 75, with the exception of 'Washbasin' which is from an edition of 60, published by London Graphic, 1967 von Horace Brodzky für GBP 120,00 (€ 178,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Horace Brodzky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Tidings im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 10.157,50 (€ 6.243,87).
