A top price for Horace Brodzky - as previously expected
The work The Tidings by Horace Brodzky was sold in the PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION auction at Christies in Melbourne in May 2005. The price achieved of AUD 10,157.50 (€ 6,243.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Tidings is the most expensive artwork by Horace Brodzky that we have observed at auctions so far.
