Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fruit Still-life by Hoo Mojong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2006. The price achieved of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 13,964.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hoo Mojong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Apple (Painted In 1982) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 576,000.00 (€ 588,208.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fruit Still-life von Hoo Mojong kam im November 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 13.964,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 160.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hoo Mojong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Apple (Painted In 1982) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 576.000,00 (€ 588.208,70).
