This artwork by Hong Viet Dung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Morning in Autumn sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,875.27) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hong Viet Dung; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hong Viet Dung | Landscape with Figure sold at auction in July last year with the realized price of HKD 138,600.00 (€ 17,294.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hong Viet Dung erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Morning in Autumn für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.875,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hong Viet Dung; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Hong Viet Dung | Landscape with Figure im Juli letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 17.294,43).
