Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Ha Long Bay by Hong Viet Dung. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 65,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 4,218.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hong Viet Dung have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hong Viet Dung | Landscape with Figure in July last year with an auction result of HKD 138,600.00 (€ 17,294.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ha Long Bay von Hong Viet Dung zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 4.218,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Viet Dung auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hong Viet Dung | Landscape with Figure im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 17.294,43).
