Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Seal Script by Hong Liangji. The price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 4,089.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Liangji - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seven-Character Couplet In Seal Script, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 92,040.00 (€ 10,130.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Seal Script von Hong Liangji zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 4.089,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Liangji mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Seal Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 92.040,00 (€ 10.130,09) versteigert wurde.
