Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work Dreaming Of Chairman Mao And I Listening To Song Huizong Playing The Qin by Hong Lei. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,357.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Lei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Speak, Memory, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dreaming Of Chairman Mao And I Listening To Song Huizong Playing The Qin von Hong Lei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.357,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Lei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Speak, Memory beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81) versteigert wurde.
