Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work After Zhao Ji'S Song Dynasty Painting Of Loquats And Wild Birds by Hong Lei. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,278.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hong Lei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Speak, Memory in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit After Zhao Ji'S Song Dynasty Painting Of Loquats And Wild Birds von Hong Lei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.278,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Lei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Speak, Memory im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81).
