This artwork by Homer Dodge Martin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2016. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Adirondacks sold for USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,064.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Homer Dodge Martin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Low Tide, Villerville sold at auction in October 2007 with the realized price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,823.61).
