The work Nu au voile by Hippolyte Petitjean was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2018. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,280.21), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hippolyte Petitjean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Femme Au Bord Du Lac in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,275.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Nu au voile von Hippolyte Petitjean wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.280,21) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hippolyte Petitjean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Femme Au Bord Du Lac im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 78.275,67).
