Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, which included the work Untitled (Still life with statuary) by Hippolyte Bayard. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,901.79). Admittedly, works by Hippolyte Bayard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chateau, 1839 in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 146,750.00 (€ 235,479.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Still life with statuary) von Hippolyte Bayard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.901,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hippolyte Bayard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chateau, 1839 im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 146.750,00 (€ 235.479,63).
