Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings, which included this untitled work by Himmat Shah. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,000.00 (€ 20,188.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Himmat Shah - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 78,000.00 (€ 58,322.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Indian Art including Miniatures and Modern Paintings durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Himmat Shah zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 27.000,00 (€ 20.188,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Himmat Shah mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 78.000,00 (€ 58.322,12) versteigert wurde.
