Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Woman'S Head) by Himmat Shah. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,942.30), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Himmat Shah have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 78,000.00 (€ 58,322.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Woman'S Head) von Himmat Shah zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.942,30) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Himmat Shah auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 78.000,00 (€ 58.322,12).
