This artwork by Himmat Shah achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2020. In the A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection auction, the work Untitled (Head) sold for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,468.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Himmat Shah - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 78,000.00 (€ 58,322.12).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Himmat Shah erzielte im September 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Head) für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.468,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Himmat Shah mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 78.000,00 (€ 58.322,12) versteigert wurde.
