Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mending Nets by the Shore im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 154.500,00 (€ 172.471,53).
