The work Hauling in the vessel, a steamer beyond by Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016. The result of EUR 15,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mending Nets by the Shore in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 154,500.00 (€ 172,471.53).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Hauling in the vessel, a steamer beyond von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 15.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mending Nets by the Shore im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 154.500,00 (€ 172.471,53).
