Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century & Modern Art, which included the work A busy day on the IJ, Amsterdam in the distance by Hermanus Koekkoek Sen.. The price achieved of EUR 15,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mending Nets by the Shore in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 154,500.00 (€ 172,471.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2017 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A busy day on the IJ, Amsterdam in the distance von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 15.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermanus Koekkoek Sen. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mending Nets by the Shore im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 154.500,00 (€ 172.471,53).
