In September 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations, which included the work Shipping on the Schelde by Hermanus Koekkoek Jnr.. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermanus Koekkoek Jnr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sailing out on choppy waters in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 25,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im September 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shipping on the Schelde von Hermanus Koekkoek Jnr. zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermanus Koekkoek Jnr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sailing out on choppy waters im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.200,00.
