Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Gartenrand (Garden) by Max Pechstein was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in February 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 748,500.00 (€ 979,008.63). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Pechstein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Weib mit Inder auf Teppich (Vorderseite), Früchte II (Rückseite), which sold at auction in December 2011 for EUR 3,480,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Gartenrand (Garden) von Max Pechstein wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 748.500,00 (€ 979.008,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Pechstein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Weib mit Inder auf Teppich (Vorderseite), Früchte II (Rückseite) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für EUR 3.480.000,00 versteigert wurde.
