Auction result well in line with expectations
The work From the Bavarian Oberland by Hermann Herzog was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 5,067.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermann Herzog achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Florida Sunset in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 230,500.00 (€ 165,600.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit From the Bavarian Oberland von Hermann Herzog wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 5.067,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermann Herzog erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Florida Sunset im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 230.500,00 (€ 165.600,98).
