Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Alpine Village by Hermann Herzog was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. The price achieved of USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,717.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hermann Herzog achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Florida Sunset in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 230,500.00 (€ 165,600.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An Alpine Village von Hermann Herzog kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.717,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hermann Herzog erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Florida Sunset im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 230.500,00 (€ 165.600,98).
