Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Two Cowboys on Horseback by Herman Wendleborg Hansen for USD 5,736.00 (€ 4,940.99). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Wendleborg Hansen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Attack on the Stagecoach in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 107,323.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two Cowboys on Horseback von Herman Wendleborg Hansen für USD 5.736,00 (€ 4.940,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman Wendleborg Hansen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Attack on the Stagecoach im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 107.323,77).
