Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work The Pursuit by Herman Wendleborg Hansen. The »bidding war« ended at USD 36,000.00 (€ 30,400.27), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman Wendleborg Hansen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Attack on the Stagecoach, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 107,323.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Pursuit von Herman Wendleborg Hansen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 30.400,27) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Herman Wendleborg Hansen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Attack on the Stagecoach beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 107.323,77) versteigert wurde.
