Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Miles Davis, NYC by Herman Leonard was sold in the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 956.25 (€ 897.55), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Leonard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Jazz Studies in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,165.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Miles Davis, NYC von Herman Leonard wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 956,25 (€ 897,55) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman Leonard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Jazz Studies im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.165,63).
