Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ella Fitzgerald, Paris by Herman Leonard was sold in the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,196.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Leonard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected Jazz Studies in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,165.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ella Fitzgerald, Paris von Herman Leonard wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.196,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman Leonard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected Jazz Studies im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.165,63).
