This artwork by Heri Dono achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Figure and Form: Modern Art Featuring Bridging Generations, Property from an Important Southeast Asian Private Museum auction, the work Flying Angels and a Dragon sold for HKD 107,100.00 (€ 11,908.43) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Heri Dono - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work KUDA BINAL (WILD HORSE), which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,401.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Heri Dono erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Figure and Form: Modern Art Featuring Bridging Generations, Property from an Important Southeast Asian Private Museum wurde die Arbeit Flying Angels and a Dragon für HKD 107.100,00 (€ 11.908,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Heri Dono mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit KUDA BINAL (WILD HORSE) beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.401,30) versteigert wurde.
