Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fighting To Create A New Hero by Heri Dono was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. The price achieved of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 14,463.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Heri Dono - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work KUDA BINAL (WILD HORSE), which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,401.30).

Die Arbeit Fighting To Create A New Hero von Heri Dono wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 14.463,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 160.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Heri Dono mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit KUDA BINAL (WILD HORSE) beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.401,30) versteigert wurde.
