Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled (Biomorphic Photogram) by Herbert Matter. The price achieved of USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,422.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herbert Matter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work PKZ in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,693.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Biomorphic Photogram) von Herbert Matter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.422,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herbert Matter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit PKZ im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.693,66).
