Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work The Garlands of Love by Herbert Arnould Olivier for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,451.33). This price was achieved in the auction British and European Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Herbert Arnould Olivier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer Is Icumen In in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 331,250.00 (€ 375,869.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Garlands of Love von Herbert Arnould Olivier für GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.451,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herbert Arnould Olivier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer Is Icumen In im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 331.250,00 (€ 375.869,46).
