Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work British from The Via Corniche, Eze by Herbert Arnould Olivier for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,071.00). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Arnould Olivier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer Is Icumen In in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 331,250.00 (€ 375,869.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit British from The Via Corniche, Eze von Herbert Arnould Olivier für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.071,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert Arnould Olivier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer Is Icumen In im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 331.250,00 (€ 375.869,46).
