The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,988.36), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Arnould Olivier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer Is Icumen In in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 331,250.00 (€ 375,869.46).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Bathers In The Ganges) von Herbert Arnould Olivier wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.988,36) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert Arnould Olivier erzielen.
