Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape At Kalmthout by Henry van de Velde was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March 2019. The price achieved of EUR 81,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry van de Velde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Verger avec paysanne in October this year with an auction result of EUR 378,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape At Kalmthout von Henry van de Velde kam im März 2019 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 81.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry van de Velde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Verger avec paysanne im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 378.000,00.
