In May this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Portuguese, Light by Henry Taylor. The »bidding war« ended at USD 101,600.00 (€ 95,363.24), 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Taylor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work I'Ll Put A Spell On You in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 975,000.00 (€ 861,079.22).

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portuguese, Light von Henry Taylor zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 101.600,00 (€ 95.363,24) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Taylor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit I'Ll Put A Spell On You im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 975.000,00 (€ 861.079,22).
