Here, the upper estimate of AUD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 2,868.00 (€ 1,725.03). Admittedly, works by Henry John Sylvester Stannard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playing marbles in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,604.08).
