In April 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Going Fishing by Henry Suydam. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,338.73), 67% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Going Fishing the most expensive artwork by Henry Suydam that we have observed at auctions so far.
