The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,250.00 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Stull have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work American Leonatas, Winner Of The 1883 Kentucky Derby in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 65,500.00 (€ 47,057.98).

Die Arbeit Dr Rice, winner of the Brooklyn Handicap 1894, Gravesand von Henry Stull wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.250,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Stull auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit American Leonatas, Winner Of The 1883 Kentucky Derby im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 65.500,00 (€ 47.057,98).
