Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Figures in rural landscape (Conversation piece), early 1880s by Henry Peach Robinson for GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,689.41). This price was achieved in the auction PHOTOGRAPHS at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Peach Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'She Never Told Her Love' in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 169,000.00 (€ 108,556.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Figures in rural landscape (Conversation piece), early 1880s von Henry Peach Robinson für GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.689,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Peach Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'She Never Told Her Love' im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 169.000,00 (€ 108.556,01).
