Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Head by Henry Moore was sold in the Impressionst and Modern Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2001. The price achieved of USD 23,500.00 (€ 27,794.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Figure: Festival in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 24,722,500.00 (€ 29,675,067.53).
