A top price for Henry Moore
In June 2016 Christies in London held the auction Defining British Art Evening Sale, which included the work Reclining Figure: Festival by Henry Moore. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 24,722,500.00 (€ 29,675,067.53), 24% above the upper estimate. With this result, Reclining Figure: Festival is even the most expensive work of art by Henry Moore that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Defining British Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reclining Figure: Festival von Henry Moore zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 24.722.500,00 (€ 29.675.067,53) und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Reclining Figure: Festival sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Henry Moore, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
