The work Seven maritime sketches by Henry Moore, R.A. was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2016. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,249.60), 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Moore, R.A. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Family Group in June last year with an auction result of GBP 315,000.00 (€ 365,940.40).

Die Arbeit Seven maritime sketches von Henry Moore, R.A. wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.249,60) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Moore, R.A. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Family Group im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 315.000,00 (€ 365.940,40).
