This artwork by Henry Mayo Bateman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2018. In the Annabel's auction, the work The Deed (i); and Very well meant (ii) sold for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,984.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Mayo Bateman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Honour was satisfied in the season in retrospect (i); Demonstration of the new flexible fowling piece for crack shots (ii), which sold at auction in November 2018 for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,659.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Mayo Bateman erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Annabel's wurde die Arbeit The Deed (i); and Very well meant (ii) für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 11.984,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Mayo Bateman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Honour was satisfied in the season in retrospect (i); Demonstration of the new flexible fowling piece for crack shots (ii) beobachtet, die im November 2018 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.659,01) versteigert wurde.
