The work Unknown by Henry John Terry was sold in the VUES DU MONT-BLANC COLLECTION GABRIEL VIARD auction at Christies in Paris in December 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 900.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 940.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Unknown is the most expensive artwork by Henry John Terry that we have observed at auctions so far.
