A top price for Henry John Terry - as previously expected
The work Unknown by Henry John Terry was sold in the VUES DU MONT-BLANC COLLECTION GABRIEL VIARD auction at Christies in Paris in December 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 900.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 940.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Unknown is the most expensive artwork by Henry John Terry that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Unknown von Henry John Terry wurde im Dezember 2002 in der Auktion VUES DU MONT-BLANC COLLECTION GABRIEL VIARD bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 900,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 940,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Unknown das teuerste Kunstwerk von Henry John Terry, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
