Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,229.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry John Sylvester Stannard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playing marbles in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,604.08).
