Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study Of A Seated Draped Female Figure by Henry James Holiday was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,828.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry James Holiday achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sara, belle d'indolence in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 55,000.00 (€ 61,439.90).
