Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Male Form, which included the work Study of Adam by Henry James Holiday. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,228.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry James Holiday achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sara, belle d'indolence in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 55,000.00 (€ 61,439.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Male Form durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study of Adam von Henry James Holiday zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.228,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry James Holiday erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sara, belle d'indolence im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.000,00 (€ 61.439,90).
