A top price for Henry Livens - as previously expected
In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures, which included the work Spring blossom and a bird's nest with eggs on a mossy bank by Henry Livens. The price achieved of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Spring blossom and a bird's nest with eggs on a mossy bank is the most expensive artwork by Henry Livens that we have observed at auctions so far.
