Auction result misses estimated price range

In the British and Victorian Paintings auction, the work Summer Flowers And A Bird'S Nest With Eggs On A Mossy Bank changed hands for GBP 836.50 (€ 1,218.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Henry Livens have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2002 by the work Spring blossom and a bird's nest with eggs on a mossy bank at GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.98).
