Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Highland cattle grazing by a loch by Henry Livens was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2003. The price achieved of GBP 282.00 (€ 405.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Livens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring blossom and a bird's nest with eggs on a mossy bank in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.98).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 282,00 (€ 405,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Livens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring blossom and a bird's nest with eggs on a mossy bank im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.304,98).
