Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sussex Apples by Henry Herbert La Thangue was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 210,228.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Herbert La Thangue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Leaving Home in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 666,650.00 (€ 973,287.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sussex Apples von Henry Herbert La Thangue kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 210.228,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Herbert La Thangue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Leaving Home im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 666.650,00 (€ 973.287,97).
