Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in London held the auction British Impressionism, which included the work Neglected roses, Provence by Henry Herbert La Thangue. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,869.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Herbert La Thangue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Leaving Home in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 666,650.00 (€ 973,287.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit Neglected roses, Provence von Henry Herbert La Thangue zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.869,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Herbert La Thangue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Leaving Home im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 666.650,00 (€ 973.287,97).
